Faelyn is nine months old and things have never been more exciting here at the McSchnit household.

Went to our nine month appointment and things are great...only ONE shot this time.

she is now 29 1/2 inches and weighing 21 lbs.

she is cruising these days and is developing a nice pair of fangs on the top.

learned how to get onto one of our couches in order to look out the window.

The big news is that she looked at me (daddy) the other day and said Dada! About a week later she looked at Sara and said mama. We were completely flabbergasted and ridiculously giddy on both occasions. We eagerly await more of that!

It has been eight months already! Faelyn is doing great and we are amazed at what she can do everyday. Here's some news:

She weighs, roughly, 20 lbs and is 29 inches long.

She is crawling faster now and is starting to favor standing.

She still only has the two teeth on the bottom but we are anticipating about four coming in from the top. Mom and Dad will be thankful when that happens!

On The Move

January has proved to quite a wonderful month.

Faelyn got a visit from our friend Larry Mitchell who lives in New York.

Now Faelyn comes with teeth and they are sharp.

Faelyn is also getting into a sitting position all by herself and learning the fine art of waving. We are eagerly awaiting the next steps of our beautiful girl.

Six Months and doing great!

Hello all- a little delayed but wanted to let you all know a few things. Christmas was great! Faelyn cleaned up and spent some great quality time with Gramma, Aunt Amanda, and cousin Conner. And, of course, Mom and Dad.

Faelyn has also had her six month appointment. She is now 28 inches long and weighing 18.4 lbs. Her doctor is very pleased. She is also working on two teeth, but more on that later.

As you've have already guessed we have started her on some "solid" foods. To date she has enjoyed applesauce, sweet potatoes, blueberries, and rice cereal. She has also had peas (which she has merely tolerated). We love and miss you all. enjoy the photos.

Yay Applesauce!

Faelyn and Sweet Potatoes

Has it really been five months? well yes it has and Faelyn has had some great adventures. She has also picked up some neat tricks too...



here we are at Thanksgiving where Daddy feeds Faelyn her first taste of mashed potatoes. She loves them and we can't wait to let her try peas...then carrots...then, perhaps, a pastrami sandwich- all whipped up in the blender, of course.

Faelyn is learning so fast. She is currently mastering the roll from stomach to back and then back to stomach. She loves to sing...all day long.

I have just been told that she is starting to favor her left hand. YES! Daddy is proud.

It's the Halloween season and we had a time getting Faelyn into all of her outfits. There is also a picture of Faelyn in a high chair...with a little help from a blanket.

Happy Halloween to all!

Faelyn is now 4 months old and is 27 inches, 16 lbs. 10 oz. Yep- we are expecting her to be taller than Daddy in about a year. We have had a great fall and we cannot wait for her to experirnce the Chicago winter.

Faelyn is really enjoying tummy time now and doesn't get so frustrated about it...has yet to roll over but she is soooo close! Come on Rolly!

She has started eating some rice cereal. When I say "eating" I really mean getting it in her mouth, looking at us, looking at the spoon, letting most of the cereal ooze out onto her bib, looking back at us. Have no fear- pictures of this extravaganza coming soon.

Faelyn and Ainsley have finally met...

and there are pictures to prove it. Over the Columbus Day weekend Karl, Melissa, and Ainsley came to Chicago so the girls could meet. It was a short but great weekend of dressing them up and getting photos done. We cannot wait for the next time. Enjoy!
