May and June have proved to be extremely busy months for visitors. Towards the end of May Faelyn's Great Aunt Cindy and cousin Allison came out for a few days

Faelyn just chatting away with her great aunt

We also had a wonderful visit with Faelyn's GiGi (Sara's Gramma) Faelyn had a great time and it was an opportunity to get four generations together for a picture.

having a moment.

And there was no better way to celebrate Father's Day than being surrounded by loved ones.

Once again- Faelyn letting me know who's in charge (even on Father's Day)

We came to a nice compromise.
Thanks to all and we'll chat soon

May was a busy month.
halfway through Gma came out for a week to watch Faelyn. As you can see, there was fun for all.

thank you Gma!
The morning of Mother's day was spent downtown at the Y-Me race/walk (a walk for breast cancer awareness and cure). What better way to celebrate family then to be together. Here we are at the end of it in front of Buckingham fountain.

Faelyn is nine months old and things have never been more exciting here at the McSchnit household.

Went to our nine month appointment and things are great...only ONE shot this time.

she is now 29 1/2 inches and weighing 21 lbs.

she is cruising these days and is developing a nice pair of fangs on the top.

learned how to get onto one of our couches in order to look out the window.

The big news is that she looked at me (daddy) the other day and said Dada! About a week later she looked at Sara and said mama. We were completely flabbergasted and ridiculously giddy on both occasions. We eagerly await more of that!

enjoy the photos:

fun in the bath.

getting to know Berlyn.

hanging out with Berlyn and Thor.

dressing up!

now if only we could get her in the duck for bath time.

sharing both the couch & sill is going to be tough for the cats.

then end of a long teething day.

It has been eight months already! Faelyn is doing great and we are amazed at what she can do everyday. Here's some news:

She weighs, roughly, 20 lbs and is 29 inches long.

She is crawling faster now and is starting to favor standing.

She still only has the two teeth on the bottom but we are anticipating about four coming in from the top. Mom and Dad will be thankful when that happens!

Much more later...and because so many people are asking for them, below are quite a lot of photos for you all to enjoy. (video will also be later)

enjoying the all mighty monkey towel

showing Mommy that she can stand

Finally sitting in her duck! (note: this is supposed to be in the tub and this is the only time she has been in it without getting completely scared)

Clearly admiring Mia's hair. or wondering why she doesn't have as much.

Dancing with Uncle Ken.

Dancing with Daddy.

Taking a break from playing for a photo op.

Having some play time with Daddy.

Bundling up for a Chicago winter day.

Looking at a butterfly at the Notebaert Nature Museum.

Trying new hairstyles in the tub.

That's it for now- Faelyn has her nine month appointment soon so there will be *gasp* more shots as well as some more "stats." Thanks to all and we'll chat soon

On The Move

January has proved to quite a wonderful month.

Faelyn got a visit from our friend Larry Mitchell who lives in New York.

Now Faelyn comes with teeth and they are sharp.

Faelyn is also getting into a sitting position all by herself and learning the fine art of waving. We are eagerly awaiting the next steps of our beautiful girl.

Thanks to all and we'll chat soon.
